I have a Fenix 5 Plus, which I have owned for the past 3 years, I haven't been wearing it a whole lot due to losing the charger for it. I recently got a new charger for the watch, and am now trying to get it to charge but it wont. At first it showed the charge Icon. Yet after 30min I was unable to get the watch to turn on.
It's worn out time to get ride of it. I had that same issues with my 5X. I went out and got the 6X because of it. Now after 2 years my 6X is kinda finnicky when hooking it up to my pc to charge or connect it to Garmin Express. If it's not properly hooked up it won't be detected by Garmin Express. So that gave me the excuse to get the 7X

My Garmin Fenix 5X charging connection is terrible! It’s the same on my wife’s Garmin Vivosport. I constantly clean and carefully scrape the brass connections but this has made me hate the whole experience. I’ve had so many good Garmin products but the ridiculously unreliable connection now has ruined the experience.

Fenix. Hey all! Just wondering if anyone could help me out here. I plugged in my Garmin to my Mac today to charge. When I took it out, it was stuck on charging screen. So I turned it off, and since then whenever I try to turn it on, it's stuck on the blue Garmin triangle. I tried everything I found online, nothing worked.
You can use something like rubbing alcohol for this. If you suspect the charging port is particularly dirty, you could also use a toothbrush to get in there and scrub it clean. Once it’s clean, try and avoid creating new problems. This means a) rinsing off your watch and b) not plugging it in to charge until it’s dry.
