π How To Reset Dpf Light On Mazda 6
When flashing, it means the engine management is doing a DPF regeneration. Keep driving while this occurs until the light goes off. Turning off the engine before this cycle completes causes more frequent flashing. Not completing the cycle many times brings up a solid light. Now a code will be set, and needs a workshop generated DPF regeneration.
The dipstick is just past F, and service indicator isnt flashing yet ( dpf light flashing), but i wanted to do it a bit early anyway. I know how to reset the service indicator ( dpf flashing) light when its actually flashing, by putting a wire top right in fusebox connector to ground, and then hitting the accelerator pedal quickly 5 times.
The shop should of performed the reset ALL function in the ecm and reset the DPF since it was replaced. You should return to the shop that performed the replacement and complain that the fault is now active. They should of advised you of an up stream failure just while they were in there replacing the DPF not just taking your money.

Park the vehicle in a well ventilated area, pull the hand break up, hold the button down for a couple seconds and the DPF regeneration process will be initiated. Do not press any of the foot pedals while the process in ongoing. You may hear the engine idle sound change as the process is happening. Regards,
The DPF light can come on for several reasons, if the DPF needs a regen, you have a sensor problem in the exhaust system,if the oil level reaches the Xmark, or the car needs a service (every 12500mls iirc). If the engine has an oil change and the ecu is'nt reset the DPF light will flash and the car will go into limp mode.
